personality: Sagatarious likes to be called Saga. She is a benevolent, gentle, and often shy wolf. She is a lover, not a fighter, unless another wolf is injured, a puppy, disabled, or too old to properly defend themselves. Then she will stand up for them and protect them, often against much bigger or stronger wolves but hey, it’s the thought that counts, right?

Saga loves solitude and quiet. She likes to sit next to a river or creek, and just listen to the frogs and crickets sing. She likes to chase butterflies and listen to others tell their life stories. She believes that you should respect your elders and teach your pups. She is very independent and also very curious. She likes to wonder the pack borders and follow patrols at a distance so she can hear what’s been happening, and learn secrets.

She likes secrets, and never repeats any that she hears, though she does pass on any news to whatever animal she believes wants to know. Saga is very open with other predators, and though she is usually submissive, she likes to ask them queastions and replies back to their own rather bluntly. She doesn’t see a reason that one should watch what one says in front of other wolves. She doesn’t insult anybody, of course, but some find her way of speaking her mind rather disquieting and a little worrisome.

history: Sagatarious is one of a litter of three. Her mother and father were two released Red Wolves, born in captivity. Her brothers Pisces and Capricorn, were larger and troublesome, who liked to rough-house. Saga, as she has always preferred to be called, liked to watch the stars at night and roll in the grass and chase butterflies. She learned to hunt from her mother, as her brothers were a bit too loud to catch on quickly, and their much more patient father had to take them aside and teach them privately.

One day, though, tragedy struck. Her father was killed. Grieving and uncaring of what happened, Saga’s mother soon faded into a mere ghost of the proud, fiery wolf she had been. It was because of this that she was so easily caught by the humans, who followed the collar that was always present around her mother and fathers throats. The three pups fell away from each other. Sagatarious preferred to stay away from other wolves. Capricorn was caught by humans as well, and sent to an animal sanctuary like that their parents grew up in. Pisces, too, was captured and sent to live at a zoo. Soon, Sagatarious was all alone. The humans left the land after a week, and never returned, for which Saga was both happy and sad. Happy, because they would never find her. Sad, because she would never see her family again.

Now a year old, Saga has grown into a beautiful young wolf, full of life and gentleness. She still prefers to be alone, avoiding all the packs as much as possible, and especially avoiding the sea. That was where the humans had come from, and that was where they had disappeared. She dared not go there often; for fear that the humans might return and capture more wolves. She was determined not to be one of them.
