.Claws of Stone.
Claws of Stone is an intermediate to advanced Warriors rpg. We are brand new, and searching hard for the right people for our many high positions open. There are four clans: PeakClan, JaggedClan, ScarClan, and TimberClan. Things are generally the same, except for one factor. Before becoming a warrior, you must pass a test. Not just any test, a test that only the strongest can pass. A test that only the worthy can pass. Each clan has a different test, some harsher than others, but the end result it the same. If you pass, you become a warrior. If you fail, you restart training. A description of each clan's test is listed below. The members here at Claws of Stone hope that you come and join our friendly rpg!
Path of a Warrior
This Apprentice trial is unique to JaggedClan. A trying task that those that slacked off during their moons of training usually fail. JaggedClan's Path of a Warrior is a survival trial in the extreme. Before being made a warrior the apprentice must make the trip to the top of Jagged Hill. What's so tough about that you say? Well first off hill is an understatment, more like a small mountain, jagged rocks cutting across most of its surface. You must reach the top of the Hill before Dusk on the third day of trial. Along with that you are greatly honored if you finish early, especially if you bring along 2 pieces of prey, though that is very difficult to do. The task is hard enough as it is. If you do not pass you are sent back to your mentor in disgrace to both of you and start training once more. The Overseer follows the apprentice, invisible to the apprentice, making sure that the apprentice doesn't cheat.
Voyage of the Winding Forest
The trial that is unique to TimberClan alone. In this event the apprentice is supposed to run as fast as possible and through as thin an area as they possibly can, trying to outsmart the Overseer. If the apprentice is pinned by the Overseer than they fail the final test and must start training again. This test is built for agility and speed, two of the prime traits looked for in an honorable TimberClan cat. This event is held in Winding Forest, half of the reason that is the name of the Trial. The other reason is the pure skill it takes to speed as fast as you possibly can through a Forest that is almost impossible to navigate in the first place. The apprentice wins as soon as the touch the Sharp Rock with their paw, some finish this trial within a few minutes but legends say that this can go on for hours if the apprentice gets turned around.
Journey of the Soul
PeakClan's Final apprentice trial. Now this one is no different than any other Clan's; difficult and the most testing challenge of most cats' lives. This is why it seems that loners and kittypets all seem to steer clear of these Clans, usually rogues as well. On to the actual trial though, sorry I tend to veer off topic. Anyway, Peakclan is the Clan known for their talents in hiding among rocks. Seemingly invisible no matter where they are. Though this Clan's trial has two parts which is unique to it alone. The first part is to hide among the Sharp Stones from dawn on the first day till dusk on the second. That or the other option is to locate the five hidden stones among the large field of sharp stones, usually the most coveted challenge among the Clan. These stones are rather hard to find and must be marked a certain way depending on the 2nd part apprentice who is trying to find you. The 2nd part of the test is more of just a free ride so it isn't completely unfair to the 1st part apprentice, there job is to obviously try to find the apprentice that must stay unseen. The most respected way to make it through this task is to ot only mark the 5 stones(which is extremely hard in the first place) but actually find the apprentice on the 2nd part of the trial. The Overseer of PeakClan's only job in this Clan is to track both apprentices and make sure they aren't cheating or slacking off in anyway, that and giving the 2nd part apprentice his/her warrior name.
Right of Passage
Now this is the most barbaric way of becoming a warrior in all of the Clans, one of ScarClan's claim to fame(or rather infamy) among the Clans. As the name of the Clan suggests ScarClan's trial is the Giving of the Scar. Definitely a tale told to kits to make sure they obey and aren't sent off to train as a ScarClan warrior right? Wrong. Everything that I am writing is true, and sadly the Mark of a ScarClan warrior is a thing of pride to them, and a thing that scares away most from attacking them. The Overseer is in charge of marking an apprentice. The challenge to being Scarred? Well in accordance to the ways of the ScarClan cat they prize control of emotions above all, the way they show it? Well not at all, it is frowned upon in everyday life to show any emotion. Often you can be severly punished if you do show extreme emotion around another clan's cat and usually even their own, what makes a great ScarClan warrior is a fighter with a passive hostility. Now for the trial, every apprentice must be marked by the Overseer before being made a warrior. Each Overseer tries to make his/her mark unique to them alone, in order to pass this test the apprentice must be able to recieve any mark of the Overseer's choosing without gasping, grimacing, or especially yowling in pain. If an apprentice does so once in the marking the extremely strict law is that they and their mentor live in disgrace for a week, doing lowly apprentice tasks, and then they are required to start training OVER! The most respected new warrior is the one that passes with a more extravagant scar, or who they are marked by. On the most rare occasion, usually the kit of the leader or deputy or even one that has shown great promise, the clan's leader will mark an apprentice with his/her's lifelong chosen mark, something that is never supposed to be used again by any other cat. To make sure that it isn't stolen the Wall of Scars inside the leader's den is marked by each leader, the leader must know all of the markings and who used them so they are not forgotten. The greatest honor for a warrior in ScarClan is to be thought of as leader quality, their mark getting retired amongst those of the leaders. Though do to the Clan's extremely high standards their has only been one warrior to be seen fit, one of Legends. Eaglestrike was his name, a 4-time Overseer which is basically unheard of and unmatched by anyone, leader of many battles giving ScarClan more territory, among other things. His line lives on in the leader of ScarClan, a fine warrior himself.
