other, Lillith’s tail has some evidence of being burnt badly, and she holds her left ear at an angle because she got a foxtail stuck in it as a pup.
personality: Lillith is very slow to anger and slow to forgive, for while she likes to assume the best of others, she constantly expects to be proved wrong. She is not particularly clever or witty, but she has a sense of when to speak, and makes sly observations that can sometimes be mistaken for repartee. Though negativity does not come naturally to Lillith, she often seems cynical, however this is not pessimism but more a resigned melancholy that can sometimes edge on despair. Outwardly, she takes criticism badly and for this reason can appear ignorant of other's remarks, but few words get past Lillith without notice. Lillith is not particularly violent or prone to fighting, but she has no aversion to it, either. She is fast and watchful – she finds others’ weaknesses quickly.
When she was younger, Lillith was much bolder, and had an intense and engaging disposition. History and experience seems to have subdued her, but some of her previous vibrancy remains. In the right situations, she falls almost completely back into her old ways, becoming more sweet natured, even so, while not exactly cautious, she is always on guard, and inherently worried about ever becoming completely at ease or happy. Lillith is protective and loyal to a fault though few ever earn that devotion.
history: On the day Lillith was born it rained for six hours, and spring seemed to bloom around her as she grew. The birth of Lillith, her two sisters and one brother was a good omen for her pack, it seemed. The Basinrunners were small, relaxed, and run more like a family than a pack, their territory consisting of only a small part of the canyon they lived in. Lillith’s parents, (her father a large dusky wolf named Mohave, and her mother, a small, effeminate and vivid wolf named Eden) were the betas, and so the new birth was celebrated.
Lillith’s puphood and early adult life were happy, and she mated young to one of her best friends. However, that same year, her life fell to pieces. A fire begun by a dry lighting storm ripped the pack apart, killing much of the pack, including Lillith’s mate, her mother, and her two sisters. After that, the pack tried to remake themselves, and Lillith remained with them for a while, but, listless and heartbroken, she began to feel trapped and eventually ran away.
She moved from pack to pack for a time, barely making an effort to fit anywhere. When she began to be accepted, she would run, fearing to grow to close to anyone again. The last pack Lillith stayed with grew tired of her aloofness and threw her out. Now, her trust is even further broken, but she feels she must make try harder the next time. She still keeps in touch with the remaining Basinrunners by way of her brother, Sameal, but refuses to return, though he sometimes begs her. Her father would never allow it anyway, he hates her now, for leaving the pack when they were weak, and he blames her for her mother’s death. Lillith is inclined to believe him.
