Matsi means {Sweet and Brave} in Blackfoot
“Mother Nature, I, Matsi, have come to you in thanks. You have watched over me these past 3 years of my life. Though I am only a mere she-wolf, wandering the forest as a loner, you take care of me. I have no pack as of now, nor mate, friends, or enemies. Only your smaller creations, like the song birds and scattering mice act as my company. I am blessed to know of your presence all around me, and I know I can always talk to you…”
Matsi acts most like a young lady than a wolf. Sweet and caring, she takes pleasure in the little things. You will often find her thanking Mother Nature for her blessings with a soft song. She has a warm heart for her pack and, though she wouldn’t be much of help, would put her life on the line for them. She loves puppies and enjoys watching of them, even if they aren’t her own.
Matsi’s fur is made up of shades of gray from the back of her ears all the way down to the tip of her fluffy tail. Her ears are bordered with black. The top of her head is a dark gray. Her under belly and paws are white. Matsi weights around 85 pounds, small for a gray wolf. She isn’t very muscular either. She is full grown.
Matsi was born into a small family. There were originally four puppies in her litter but an unknown illness took there lives, leaving her to be the only survivor. Soon after, her father left, for reasons unknown to Matsi, so she was raised single handedly by her mother. Her mother was the most important person in her live, always told her to trust in Mother Nature.Though she doesn’t have the strength to hold on tight enough or long enough to kill a deer, Matsi’s main talent is her ability to use her nose. She is skilled at picking scents up from many others and could be a great tool for a pack in need of nourishment.
