appearance:breed, Grey Wolf
eyes, Probably his most redeeming features are, one, his pale grey eyes, which are sometimes said to resemble full moons. Or rocks. Depending on how poetic you want to be about it.
pelt, He's covered in a pelt of course, ragged, dark grey fur, fading to a lighter grey at the underbelly. He has some black patches on his sides and back, but it's difficult to tell among the grey fur. The ragged state of his fur gives him a look between 'just woke up' and 'diseased'.
height, A little under two feet at the shoulder. And a little over four feet from nose tip to tail.
weight, About 40lbs
other, Reo, as his name (Thai for speed, quick, fast, etc) would suggest, is quite quick on his feet. Agile and speedy, he's good at keeping up with his prey, but unfortunately he's not so good on the actual kill. This makes hunting on his own somewhat difficult. His second redeeming feature would be his sharp, white teeth. Got to love a canine with good oral hygiene.
personality: Despite all his shortcomings, Reo has managed to survive (with varying degrees of success). This has given him a sense of pride and confidence in what he can do. He can be seen as arrogant for this, as he will often claim that his ability to survive on his own makes him superior in a way to pack wolves who require the assistance of others to survive. Try not to take that to heart though, he has a bad habit of saying things he doesn't mean. He wants to be in a pack, but his disagreeable attitude prevents that from happening. He's well aware of his own faults, but will often ignore them, foolishly enough.
He likes to be helpful, though his more often than not useless in a situation (though he refuses to believe it). Maybe with a bit more work he can add up to something, more than what he is at the moment. Speedy but weak, childish and arrogant.
Calling Reo a survivor would be somewhat inaccurate, sure, he survives, and he does so in spite of some very harsh trials. But it's more true to say he's stubborn, he refuses to quit until he's forced to. This stubborn nature is probably one of the reasons a pack would find him unideal, the again, someone might want him around simply for that reason, he'd make a determined little pawn if manipulated right.
history: Only half of Reo's short life has been spent as a loner. Of course he had a puppyhood, it'd be practically impossible for him to have survived on his own since then. He had a dad, a mom, brothers and sisters. And in a sense, he probably still has them. Well, they still exist. Somewhere up in the mountains where he'd spend the first few months of his life. Probably. Possibly. Most likely. Reo isn't curious enough to go check.
Reo's father, who it's difficult to tell the relation between him and his son, except in arrogance. The pale wolf had the intentions to start his own pack with his mate, having left his own pack many miles away to establish a territory on the mountainside.
It wasn't to be, as nearing the end of summer the year his mate gave birth to her first litter a much larger pack searching for a territory decided to claim the mountainside den. The juvenile wolves and their mother fled, while the arrogant would-be Alpha male stayed to fight. Obviously he would've lost.
Reo's family had all run in opposite directions, the foolish youngster hadn't thought of staying near his mother, and found himself unable to find them. The little guy hadn't howled for them, for fear of falling prey to the other pack.
His wandering search eventually led him over the mountain, not a long trek, his pack had been set up near the summit.
Ashamed of his cowardly behavior up on the mountain, he resolved to start a new life and better himself. He hunted what he could, working on his tracking skills. He'd had training up on the mountain, and he adapted fairly quickly, which will hopefully serve him well for his first winter.
