personality: He is always pushing himself to do the impossible. He hates happy, laid-back wolves who feel like they don't have a care in the world. Rave believes life goes on to accomplish things, not fool around. Whether he's out hunting or practicing battle moves, he's always doing something to help his chances of survival. Rave can be very secretive and sneaky, and always keeps things to himself and minds his own business. Since he's never really been around many other wolves, which is why he keeps to himself. He's never too friendly to other wolves, being a loner, but he might be changing his mind about that now. Now, he's more prone to liking the idea of a pack. Lately he's been thinking of how his father died, and with only the knowledge of one pup, he realizes how valuable a pack could be. He constantly hides his past, worrying no one will accept his changed self, which is why he's so aloof around others. He's not a violent wolf, but won't resist fighting for what's his or right. Even though he had a criminal and violent past, Rave knows he has changed.
history: Life for Rave started on a warm spring morning beside a dry riverbed. There were originally two pups, but the other didn't make it. Azula was crushed for the first few days, and hardly took care of Rave. He wasn't even named until he was a week old. His mother always encouraged his fighting and hunting skills after she got over her other pup's death. She taught him how to hunt, like any mother. She knew that someday, Rave could be alone without a mother or father to help him survive, so she commited almost all her time to teaching him. Crow was always out hunting while Rave learned as a pup, so they weren't very close. Rave practiced fighting with his father whenever he was around, snatching every second to make himself better. Even though Crow didn't enjoy the lessons, he realized the same as Azula did, knowing they had to help Rave to survive, even after they were gone.
Rave's life took a drastic turn when he was barely older than a pup, on a cold winter morning. He was about to ask Azula if he could go on his first solo hunt, but she wouldn't wake. Crow helped to bury her, but became no closer to his only son. And soon enough, he wasn't there at all. At a mere 2 years, on a blistering summer day, Crow was murdered. And even though he wasn't close to Rave, he died defending him against a grizzly bear. Death came after the bear had ran, but his wounds were too severe. And being loners, there was no relief. Crow apologized for not trying to be closer to his son, but Rave forgave him.
Once, when there was hardly any caribou, Rave decided to roam a little... Become a nomad. On his quick little journey, he met a wolf and her three pups. At this time, Rave was young, and looking for trouble. Ever since Crow had died, Rave had felt as if something had been stolen from him. He was upset, angry, and violent. The wolf, Mai, had had her three pups about a month ago. They were definitely young and hadn't been around for very long, so they didn't know much... About anything, much less Rave. During this bout of anger, Rave was fed up with the pups. To him they were nuisances, annoying, and pestering. And the only way he saw of stopping the madness was killing them. Once, he promised Mai he'd watch them while she hunted. He killed them and made it look like a bear had done it. He even scratched himself up to make it look more convincing. Poor Mai. When she came back, with a caribou in tow, her pups were dead. Rave explained, stayed for a day, and ran. It almost ate him alive. How could he have done that?! He still thinks of those poor pups today.
Now, Rave has continued his loner life. But he fears that his life will end like his father's. He's afraid he'll perish because of not being in a pack. Without the protection and aide of a pack, maybe he'll be harmed by another loner and be unble to care for himself. He wants to make a difference, though if you met him, at first, it wouldn't seem so. Rave is tired of leading a slightly pointless life, and he believes that being part of a pack with increase his worth. Whether to the other packs or his own, he wants to mean something, help another life.
