other, he has more muscular proportions because of his mixed ancestry, a longer, more erect neck, and a shepherd's large ears. also the hybrid bears the fur of a dog, smoother and longer than that of a wolf. apart from this and his coloring Czar resembles a wolf much more than a domesticated creature.
personality: Czar has a confident air that, coupled with his physical splendor, gives the hybrid quite the imposing presence. He is proud but not conceited, and is simply aware of his outward grandeur; he does not take lengths to flaunt it. Yet his silence can come of as standoffish and his ease with himself cocky, so the fellow is often assumed to be arrogant. Czar is actually quite selfless, fiercely loyal to his pack and confidants. His lack of sensitivity makes this generous side often overlooked as well. The wolf-dog is very down-to-earth and trusts instincts far over emotions. He never lets sympathy or other ‘weaknesses’ cloud his vision. Cold and blunt as he is the male is not an evil soul, but a canine of his word who despises immorality. In some aspects the fellow is simple, he has little interest in philosophy and avoids deep conversations. Also he is impulsive and when provoked will engage in conflicts with the odds against him. But he is cunning and quick to react, and a brilliant and creative strategist. A beast of action he is, with an assertive and expressive personality only as far as movements go. Verbally Czar lacks that easy grace that characterizes his bodily charisma. He is socially awkward, gruff in his vocal mannerisms and often tactless. The male likes excelling and he hardly does so with words, so Czar prefers silence. Yet he makes a fine leader, ceaselessly brave and at ease even under scrutiny. Commands are a terse sort of conversation and they suit him well. However Czar thrives as a follower also, and the male does not let his confidence get in the way of his loyalty and tenacity.
history: Czar's life before Eriu was that of a dog and not a wolf. Born in one of the few villages dotting New Zealand, his mother’s occupation was as a sled dog, carrying goods across the alps. He did not live the fondled life of a house pet, but rather was reared with only reaching his full sled dog potential in mind. Czar's wild heritage was unknown at first because of his peculiar coloring, and his albino sister gave his owners no hint towards it either. His masters thought that the puppy's strength and liveliness were manifestations of a working dog ancestry and that they would serve the puppy well in his future position. They, however, were mistaken. Czar could pull twice as well as the other puppies, and was physically perfectly suited to the job. But he lacked the drive to pull, that love of the harness that was genetically engrained into his peers’ minds. While the others lived for their work tethered to the sled, running for days on end as their owners delivered mail and goods; Czar was ill at ease in his surroundings. As a youth he lingered around their camps and ran alongside the sled, and then in it, only because of his instinctual drive to survive that told him he could not survive elsewhere in the bitter cold. But as Czar grew larger and began to look more distinctively like his wild father, his owners got wary. For the male’s primitive intuitions were increasing as well and after a series of fights with the other dogs the humans left him tied to a tree as the sled moved on. Czar escaped and thrived in the wild, quickly reconnecting with the feral side of him that had been oppressed for so long.
He found his way to Eriu as a canine just entering his prime, filled with a newfound sense of freedom and raging instincts. Czar claimed the territory of Auryn and started a pack, a pack based on the strength and prowess that he had just learned to embrace. But he was a youth of one, and soon found the politics and responsibility of the pack to wear down his spirit. The proud male left for no reason in particular. He found himself bored and overwhelmed at the same time: frustrated by the lack of activity within his packlands and yet apprehensive of the tension growing between his and other packs. So Czar acted on impulse as he was all too well known to do. He ran. Czar was immature, rash, and craven to flee as he did. Yet he was not a deceitful wolf by nature and the betrayal of his packmates plagued him for each moment of the two years he was gone. To each strange wolf he met Czar introduced himself as an Auryn wolf of Eriu. Finally, after reaching a strange desert land that reminded him vividly of his old home, Czar turned around and began to retrace his long and aimless journey.
