appearance: For a maned wolf, Haku is quite small. She has the typical red and black fur of her kind, but unusual blue eyes. Her nimble legs enable her to move fast over most kinds of terrain. Her tail is chopped short from a fight with a dog.breed, Maned wolf.

personality: Kyohaku is young, but has none of the characteristics of a wolf her age. Blind in both eyes, Haku has grown up with a bleak understanding of the world. She is quite shy, but once you get to know her, she's outgoing and fun to be with. She is kind and generous; pups her age are often scared of her, though, so she can be quite bitter. She loves the sound of falling water, the smell of summer grass, and the way the twilight is easier for her than it is for most.
When Haku was very young, she was muh more outgoing. But, if you get her when she's depresses, Haku tends to talk about morbid, grim parts of her past. She's resentful towards pups, but doesn't outwardly show it.
Haku doesn’t get angry very often; usually she’s wrapped up in her thoughts. Sometimes she goes into a trance-like state when thinking about the future. She hates dogs especially, and though loving and gentle, she goes crazy when she sees them. She’s been known to scratch out their eyes, though the reason is unknown.
Haku also dislikes the smell of blood; it’s not very obvious, since she eats meat every day, but if you observed her closely, you’d be likely to see her disgust.
history: Kyohaku grew up with a small pack, consisting of only herself, her parents, and her two siblings (Seijun and Ryuu), both of whom died at two months old. However, Haku's parents were killed off by disease, so she was left to fend by herself afterwards. At three months old, she wandered too close to a human town, and was caught up in a conflict; both her eyes were burned. She grew to have a hatred of dogs, when she found out that her parents were killed by ones that carried a fatal disease. Her tail was half bitten-off as she fought a pack of wild dogs. She only survived because they took pity on her, and left her alone. But Haku was scarred more on the inside; she wandered from place to place, avoiding contact with other living things. She came into contact with a pup her age when she reached five months, but tragically, fate got in the way of her first friendship. The other pup was killed by hunters, for sport. All this time, Kyohaku was getting sicker and sicker; she ran for hours everyday, but ate very little. But soon, she reached the lands in which she resides now. Although not the healthy weight for an average wolf, Haku looks much better than she did as a weak, starving pup. She tends to keep her history a secret, but sometimes, if she grows to trust people, she’ll tell them. She has no known relatives, apart from her distant uncle Shiroi: a white wolf.
