other, Erulissë is often mistaken for a large fox because of her black and red pelt, but it is not wise to make this observation known to her.
personality: Erulissë is a rather timid wolf. Like many of her breed, she shies away from interaction with larger creatures, other than others like herself. Even large prey is best left alone, in Eruli’s opinion. She herself often goes after small rodents, such as rabbits and mice, though she just ends up snacking on fruit that has fallen to the ground.
Although Erulissë comes off very shy, she is a great girl to know. After getting used to you, she becomes very vibrant and fun loving, but it takes quite a while to get to this point at times. Though she can rowdy, Eruli is never quick to give sharp comebacks, always giving a small wolf smile and a snicker, even if the comment was meant to hurt her. Erulissë appears to never be angry, or even sad, though she has every right to be, according to her horrifying past, which she barely even knows about.
Erulissë is usually anti violence. If there is ever a heated quarrel, Eruli typically steps back and watches, or sometimes tries to be the peacemaker. Even if she wanted to step in and physically do something about it, Erulissë feels that she would only ever get hurt. Long, thin legs were never made to fight.
history: As I said before, Eruli’s history is something to be angry about, but you can be angry about you don’t know.
Erulissë’s life started well. As a young pup, she and her siblings, Estë and Emerwen, lived happily with their parents in the plain of the neutral territory between Glyn and Auryn. The small family had lived peacefully though the end of the mild fall, catching just enough to feed everyone, and avoiding the more dangerous rouges. But as a bleak winter rolled in and most of the maned wolves’ diet began to disappear, they began to worry. Always, the pair had only had to watch out for themselves, and in harsh winters, two strong adults wolves could find something to eat. But with fragile pups to keep watch over and feed, Bein and Nor-ruth had to work fast.
For weeks Bein left to find food, either coming back with only a couple winter birds or rodents, or nothing at all. Even with Bein putting forth his best effort to save the pups over the harsh winter, the small runt, Estë died of starvation. Bein still continued to forage to save the two small girls, and for a few more weeks, he kept going out every night. As the time progressed, Bein was finding less and less.
But one night, Bein didn’t come back. The feeble mother began to worry. She still had two underfed pups to keep alive, and now the only source of food for her and them had disappeared.
All the while, Eruli and Emer had no idea what was happening. Even the tragic death of their brother was unbeknownst to them. They only thought that he had perhaps gone hunting with their father, who was only a red shadow in their short lives.
Nor wanted to move some where else, perhaps quest for one the packs surrounding her, and look for her lost mate. But she couldn’t leave the scrawny pups, nor could she carrying them both.
“Emerwen, Erulissë,” her meek voice called to the pups. Erulissë’s sister looked up weakly, but when she saw her mother, she perked up and pounced for Nor. Erulissë acted differently. The lack of food had taken a harder toll on her body, and she only looked up at her mother and sister slowly.
“Emerwen, since you can walk, you’ll have to follow closely behind me,” Nor said as she strutted to Eruli, picking her up by the scruff of her neck. “Come on.”
Eruli slept for most of the short trip as Nor ventured toward the Eira lands. Only when she was dropped to the ground did she awake.
As her small eyes fluttered open, she saw only her mother’s body beside her, a bloody hole in her temple. Fear was the only thing that could make her run.
For almost a year now, Erulissë has wandered the outskirts of Eira territory. She still hasn’t realized the fate of her brother and mother, and daily looks for her sister.
(I know some of it sounds kinda cheesy and cliche, but I'm working on boredom right now...sorry)
