other, At the moment, his coat appears to be a bit patchy along with a few nicks and scabbed over scratches. Two of these being lengthwise across his snout as if from another's canines.
personality: He is a very respectful and inquisitive wolf, generally curious about others and wanting to discover the source of a wolf's actions and different aspects of pack life. This is not to be confused with a lack of knowledge. Instead, he is quite familiar with pack ethics and how to respond to encounters that he finds himself in. He is only aggressive to those that threaten him or his family but he will not hesitate to defend himself when necessary. Avalanche tends to be rather aloof and keeps to himself since his parents deaths in his home pack. But with his daughter by his side, he realizes his need for acceptance into a new home, if not for himself but for the well-being of the youngster in his care. He may be slow to trust in light of a traitor leading to the separation of his previous pack, but he prefers to look for the good in each wolf as much as this may get him into trouble from time to time. He's wounded by the loss of his mate and the rest of his litter but has put this behind him in the last three weeks that he has been traveling and scraping by.
history: As with most packs, he was born to the alpha pair. His father, Tore, occupied two packs and reigned as alpha in both, two separate situations leading to the destruction of both family units. The blood of a leader courses through Avalanche's veins and yet it is not his primary focus in life. He was born to a large litter, 3 other males and two females, all of which hold unknown status with him currently. Despite his curiosity to know whether his siblings are alive or dead, this is not in Avalanche's forethought. He lived within the bounds of his mother pack for his entire life but it was sent into chaos after a traitor had been accepted into the pack. This beast birthed a litter of whelps and rallied a few of those that Avalanche considered friends into overthrowing Tore and slaughtering much of the wolves that would not accept this vicious creature as their leader. Avalanche's mother pack developed more lenient breeding rules which seems to be, in the end, what lead to it's downfall. Despite the unhappy ending to a thriving pack, the rules resulted in him fathering 3 whelps. Becoming a father was one of Avalanche's main goals in life and regardless of the loose ability to breed in the pack, he wouldn't change the rules if he had become alpha. He was unable to prevent his mate's death, which caused him to flee with his children but was only able to save his daughter Jaida from the slaughter. Now three weeks later, the pair are beginning to feel the effects of life without a pack and seek acceptance to try and obtain a fresh start.
