personality: Lupin is a strong dog with many personalities. She can be extremely nasty when taunted about her small size, considering she is half wolf, but is usually kind and caring about the dogs and wolves around her. She is shy and quiet to wolves she isn't familiar with, but when you get to know her, she becomes nothing but trouble. Her favorite thing to do is hunt, even though she isn't good at it at all, and she also loves to run; she runs very fast with the help of her long hind feet, but is clumsy and ends up tripping over a loose root or a bramble branch (this is why she can't hunt very well). She still has her red collar given to her by her mother, which is why most rogues have shunned her. She has never understood why until one wolf tried to rip it off, as she thought he was trying to kill her. She is very protective of the collar that was once her mother's, and if any dare to come near it, she is willing to rip their throat out herself. Lupin is not angered easily, but will be if you come too close.
history: Snow fell lightly to the ground as the thick clouds dotted over the sky in dramatic swirls and patterns. Accalia suppressed a shiver as her matted fur shuddered in the light breeze. The white flakes came more quickly and heavily now as she padded through the deep abyss of frost to find her mate. In the distance, she could faintly see a dark figure, sharply outlined in the white darkness.
"Waya!" she called, bounding faster towards the black figure.
"Lia, my love, why would you risk this? Why would you risk our pups?" he said, growling lightly.
"I couldn't leave the poor thing to be born in that murderers nest," she whispered.
Waya's ears perked. Murderers nest? Her owner had murdered someone? "Who was it, Lia? Who died?" he asked, desperate. Where would his beautiful litter live? Surely not here, not in the cold of the mountains?
"I-It was a wolf," she murmured. "A sand coloured wolf. He was racing towards the nest, calling me..."
Waya whined. "Bhangi!" he yelped. "My brother! How could this happen? I told him it was too late for you to travel! Now he has died because of me!" His joints buckled and he fell to the ground, whimpering. "This is my fault... I have to fix this," he growled. "Come! We will go to the coast, where the sun is warm and the prey is running."
"But we will have to travel over the mountains!" Accalia yelped.
"...Yes, we will."
Waya sat down and howled mightly. A red-brown wolf bounded through the snow towards them. "Yes Waya?" she sang smoothly. Accalia winced at the wolf's beauty. How could Waya ever have loved her over this wolf? The she-wolf noticed her wince and turned her large topaz eyes to her. "What do we have here?" she taunted. "A dog, is it? Your mate is a malamute?" She said it like it was a dirty word, something to be trampled over.
"Yes," Waya said easily. "I can't thank you enough for this, Tasha"
"Humph!" she snorted.
After a few hours of climbing through boulders and snow, Accalia's stomach lurched. "Ah!" she cried, a whine breaking through. "Wha-?" She tried to talk, but the nudge kicked again.
"Her litter!" Tasha cried, seeming worried about the dog for once, her topaz eyes widening. "They're coming! We must find a shelter!"
Waya ran halfway down the small slope they were on, sniffing through snow and disappearing. "In here!" he hollered. Tasha supported Accalia down the slope into the small hollow. It was just enough space for the two large wolves and the smaller dog.
"Out with you!" Tasha snarled. "Fetch some moss and feathers. Anything soft for the pups."
Waya nodded and bounded out of the shelter. About a minute later, he returned with a mouthful of moss and feathers. He placed it next to Accalia's swelled belly. "Push!" Tasha pleaded.
Accalia heaved and only one pup came. There were no more. Waya began licking it immediately, nudging it towards her mother. "What shall we call her, my love?" he murmured.
"A wolf name," she mouthed. "I want her to join a pack."
"Lupin," he said.
"Lupin," she agreed. "My precious Lupin."
