Overview

There are 5 packs in the region in which the roleplay takes place. Each have their own territory, and each have their own mannerisms. When you join, you start as a loner. Then, through a roleplay, you ask the Alpha for admission to the pack. If permission is granted, then you become and official member of the pack.

KEEP THIS IN MIND!!

Alphas have the final say in EVERYTHING. They are your alphas, and are the highest rank!

If you REALLY don't like your pack situation, then you may talk it over with me, and I'll handle it from there; but for the most part, EVERYTHING is done via roleplay, so if you don't like your situation, deal with it yourself. Your wolf does have a voice, you know.

The rules of the site are simple:

1] Everything is done through a roleplay.
2] No god modding/power playing, desperates, or powers are allowed.
3] Minimum word count.
4] Fighting, romance, etc. is always allowed. Drama is greatly appreciated.
5] Try to remain within the realm of possibility.
6] No more than 15 characters per person.

8] Abide our account policy & graphic restrictions.
9] Obey our roleplaying rules.

In-Depth

1] Everything is done through roleplay.
-When you begin this site, you must first register your character. Fill out proper applications and post it in the 'Pending Character' section. From there, you can either:

If you choose to request a pack, then the Alpha will post in your thread either accepting you or denying you. If you are accepted, then the two of you shall either create a board your character may join or join existing board where the Alpha is currently present. If you are denied, however, then you can either request another pack or again, leave it blank.

If you chose to leave it blank, you're saying that you don't want to join any packs. Don't worry, later on you can decide to join up if you've changed your mind! Just interact with the Alpha's a bit and get the pack situation squared off. But keep in mind it IS a natural wolf roleplay. In the wild it is very difficult for a wolf to survive on its own. Without a pack they can only catch small game and are exposed to bigger predatory threats. Also, when injured and unable to hunt properly, you face starvation with no pack to feed you.

There is also the threat of renegade bands. Your wolf can form a little 'clique' with other rogue wolves, or can be attacked by the wolves. Although you can not be killed unless you give consent, you can face death and come exceptionally close to it. Just remember, your wolf can not beat 5 wolves. Just doesn't happen. Maybe two, possibly 3 if the third is handicapped in some way, but more than that? Not going to happen.

2] No god modding/power playing, desperate, or powers are allowed.

-It is assumed you know what all three of these things are. If not, you haven't been in the world of roleplay very long and would probably encounter problems with rule number three. But, if such the case you should find yourself in violation of these rules, then a very well thought out reason should be ready to support you.

DEFINITIONS:

Desperate: A character who is seemingly flawless or the essence of tragedy, often to obtain the love of every character they come into contact with. They are not always perfect or broken, but are seemingly very needy and desperate to obtain another's heart.

God-Moding/Power Playing: Controlling another character's actions without the consent of the roleplayer, relentlessly dealing unrealistic attacks, or controlling the outcome of an event without consent of the/any roleplayer(s).

example:

^{Aodh swiped at Argo's face with a mighty strike, strong enough to send even a bear off it's feet. Her paw hit, sending Argo flying. Before she could get up, Aodh leapt, pinning the she-wolf to the ground and tearing out her throat. She would be dead in mere minutes, and Aodh barely had a scratch on her.}

Powers: Anything which gives your wolf an un-natural advantage, such as wings, telepathy, element manipulation, telekinisis, shape changing, etc...

If you continually break this rule, Alphas reserve the right to banish you from their pack, suspend you from the site temporarily, or--if the case presents itself--expel you from the site.

3] Minimum word count.

-This rule is simple enough: each post must be at least 350 words, at a minimum. We are a semi-literate site and up, and so that shouldn't be a problem for roleplayers of such calibur. Along with the word count minimum, we also expect your writing style to be coherent. There are those of us on here who enjoy a good roleplay--not a bunch of one liners or run-on sentences. We don't expect you to be English professors, but a comma, a period here and there, and CORRECT SPELLING really help out.

We do recognize that one may lack a spelling gene--I myself am missing such a thing--but that's why there is a nifty button entitled 'SPELL CHECK' next to the post preview button. Utilize that resource if you KNOW you're a terrible speller!

**Roleplayers also have the option now to request a thread minimum. If you would like a minimum post length greater than 350 words, you may request up to a 800 word minimum. This is to be displayed 'ooc' at the end of your opening post.

***Failure to follow this rule will result in three warnings. On your third warning, you will be suspended for 1 to 3 days. Any further infractions results in a week-long suspension.

4] Fighting, romance, etc. is always allowed. Drama is greatly appreciated.

-What can i say? If we didn't have some drama on this site it'd be no fun. Fighting is allowed, but please do not take it to the extremes. Blood is great and all, but we don't want war after war after war. It gets old. Romance, wonderfully powerful thing; by all means flirt and have fun, but please do not go into detail. If you feel the need to do so, then put a warning at the beginning of your roleplay to warn off our younger members.

WARNING: Fighting is NOT allowed out of character. If you have a problem with another member here, you need to alert me and I'll deal with it, or BOTH of you will be suspended. Keep the dating for the wolves, as well. This is not a date site. Do not harass other members for phone numbers, emails, pictures, etc. If they want to show you, then they may, but do not badger them. And if you ARE doing this, which you really shouldn't, then keep it over PM.

5] Try to remain within the realm of possibility.

-This is a NATURAL wolf roleplay. Other animals are allowed to be roleplayed, but lets face it, Mountain Lions and wolves do not serve each other; they try to kill each other. Packs of 100+ wolves are non-existent, so don't try to have epic battles. Odd colors are allowed...to some extent. Hot pink obviously doesn't happen, but some darker shades of purple, blue, orange, and even green do appear.

But, if you're itching to throw in SOME super natural element, keep in mind wolves do dream; but can we avoid the zombie resurrections? Thus far, wolves have been incapable of summoning anything but vomit and burps.

6] No more than 15 characters per person.

-Lets try not to go off the deep end here. Can we keep it to a reasonable amount of characters? You may have no more than three characters per pack, and out of all your characters NO more than 3 may be on High Council REGARDLESS of the pack. That means no more than 3 of your characters may be an Alpha, Beta, Gamma, or Deka; depending on the pack, the names may not be the same, but the equivalence of position is what i base it off of. Other roleplayers need a chance to be a high ranking pack member, too!

NOTE: The registration process must be completed for EVERY character. Yeah, i know, it's probably time consuming, eh? Then bare in mind, it's probably not so bad if you don't make 50 characters.

7]Application and Rp Timeline

-Make sure you fill out the application completely, Specter and I will then look over the applications and deem it accepted or not. If there is something wrong with your application, we will place it in the declined application's board. You have one week from original post date to complete it. If it is not completed in two weeks, it is deleted.

-After your character has been accepted, beging roleplaying. If after 5 days, without a proper excuse of being absent, you will be declared inactive.

8] Abide our account policy & graphic restrictions

-The account situation is simple: you need only ONE account. Yeah, too good to be true, right? Wrong! Although, with all these packs, you're probably wondering how it's ordered, right? Well, your accounts are ordered thusly:

Your rank will be determined by your posting count, unless you are site staff.

Pack symbols are small badges which are titled with the pack names:

-Our graphic restrictions are very simple:

• No profane images--something which might register an R rating or higher if we were to speak in movie terms--in your banner or avatar.
  
  
• Banners may be no larger than 500x500

Failure to abide by the graphic rules will result in the removal of your offending artwork.


9] Obey our roleplaying rules.

-Since the Alphas admit they DO have lives and can not always get here in a manner you deem fast enough, you're allowed to roleplay in the unclaimed territories right off! You don't need to wait on us to start roleplaying, but you can not roleplay in pack lands until your registration has been accepted.

Keep in mind all previous rules on things you can and cannot do in roleplay.
