13/07/2010 : A lost wolf returns to the fold.
Matias moved quickly and cautiously threw the long dry grass it felt like knives against her furn covered skin but she had one thought, Run, and keep running. Her paws hit the dry dirt hard under them, sending flurries of dust behind her. This one thought had drove her to leave the pack lands, now it drover her home , home to Auryn lands.
Her head bobbed as she ran her ears pined back making her head sleek and able to move threw the air like the wings of a bird threw the air as it flew. Her back, long and now slender, where her puppy fat once sat as she now held a slender impressive form. Her back curved snake like down to the tip of her white bushy tail. The muscles in her back legs, taught and strained from the running, they were powerful enough to move her quickly threw the hostile land.
She paused for a moment in the long grass taking in her surroundings. As she stood her yellow-gold eyes glanced first left then right she found nose quickly caught the scent of fresh running water and she breathed out. For she knew the only water around for miles was the watering hole, that she knew was on Auryn lands.
Quickly she continued her run, finding the cool waters of the watering hole only now a few steps away at her running speed. Checking it out she found several small rabbits huddled around a small puddle of fresh water. They froze as she passed them buy as she headed to the bigger body of water she was interested in and a cooling dip.
Drawing close she felt the ground beneath her paws become soft , damp and cool to her now hot and dry pads. Reaching the waters edge she stepped in, to feel it lap around her hot tired legs. With her ears pricked up she slowly lent down and drank the cool water feeling it flow down her once dry throat.
Suddenly she heard a snap of a twig and she looked up. Her eyes and ears working to locate where it had come from, and what direction she should run to if she needed to escape. Seeing and smelling nothing she turned back to the water, letting her self move deeper till the water lapped around just under her belly cooling her , she sighed but still wondered if she would be accepted back after being away for so long.
