~The History~
The year was 1900. A large freighter ship was passing through the South Atlantic Ocean around Africa, carrying a shipment of wooden crates with animals bound for the wilds of India. The animals were considered to wild too be in any zoo. Unfortunately, a dangerous storm came quickly upon the ship. The crates weren't tied securely and as the tempest rocked the freighter, it threw off some of the top crates.
---------------
An undetermined amount of time later, these crates broke upon the shore of a deserted island, the isle now called Rith. From within the crates sprang some species of wildlife as well as four wolves. The first of them was a red wolf named Imir. She was a kind wolf and she loved everything upon the earth. She was submissive and followed the other wolves. The next wolf was a black wolf, Aonair. He was a distant wolf, slow to trust and sometimes quite cruel. He preferred to stay away from the other wolves. The third was Trodaire. He was a strong arctic wolf, who was the best fighter of the four. Though he appeared cold, he was actually a very kind wolf. The fourth wolf to appear was a timber wolf named Cliste. She was a wild wolf, incredibly smart and a natural leader. She led the expeditions throughout the four wolves' new island home.
----------------
After about a week of traversing the island, the four wolves had become acquainted with the terrain -- and discovered they were not alone on the island. There was a small pack of sixteen wolves: eight males and eight females. Inexplicably, all sixteen wolves split evenly before the four newcomers, desiring to follow them and join their pack. Every wolf found a mate -- even Aonair -- and populated the island with wolves.
---------------
Today, the descendants of these great wolves are split into four packs, named after their ancestors -- Imir, Aonair, Trodaire, and Cliste. The alphas reside in the mountain where their ancestors had begun their packs, with the members of the pack living in the forests surrounding the beautiful mountain range.
~Info~
The Isle of Rith is a semi-literate and higher wolf roleplay. There are four packs that you can choose from, each with it's own unique characteristics and specialties. It is based on a deserted island in the middle of the Aigéan sea. In the midst of the island, there is a large mountain for which the isle was named. The packs split the island and mountain evenly, each ending up with dens and watering holes.
~The Packs~
Imir
Imir is a pack descended from the red wolf Imir who first washed up on the shores of Rith. The pack Imir loves all of the earth and the creatures on it. They accept every wolf who wishes to join them as long as they do not start fights. The Imir pack prefers not to fight and will do so only if it is absolutely necessary.
Aonair
The Aonair pack is renegade, descended from the black wolf Aonair. He was a distant wolf, as many of the current pack members are. Because the renegades have been scorned, they do not trust easily and can be quite cruel when they are betrayed.
Trodaire
Trodaire was the third to break free from the crates, but he was the strongest and the best fighter of the four original wolves. Following in his footsteps, the wolves in the Trodaire pack are all great fighters. They are highly defensive until they have perceived your true intentions. If you have good intentions, you will live to see the kinder side of the pack. If not, may the Gods have mercy on your soul.
Cliste
Cliste was the last to escape the crate, but she was a natural leader. Now, there are several intellectual and natural-born leaders in the pack, so they keep a counsel of five instead of the conventional Alpha and/or Alphess.
