Wynter cursed herself inwardly, she had been searching the territory for what seemed for hours, seeking the pack that she knew resided here. Though she had previously spotted them, she currently felt like she was chasing ghosts.
Pristine white flakes fell from the sky above her, blanketing the terrain in a blanket of white. Her maw rose to scent the air, her nostrils flaring ever so slightly in attempt to catch a trail that would guide her to her destination. Grumbling as her efforts proved futile, she continued to travel, trying to cover the most ground she could before having to find a place to settle down for the night. Twin auds perked forward, as she caught the faint sound of a twig snapping beneat the weight of a larger animal. Her banner rose and swayed slightly, surely she had finally found them. Her hopes would soon be stomped upon as her gaze spotted the culprit in question. A lone elk had snapped the fallen branch beneath its weight, and though usually she would be thrilled with such a nice meal had conviniently found its way to her, she had more pressing things to find. She let out a soft snarl of frustration, stomping her paw down upon the crisp snow.
The grazing buck's head suddenly shot up, finally noticing her. She indeed blended into the snow covered land, her pelt was as white as the white scenery that surrounded her. Though a lone wolf wasn't likely to attack such a big prey, the buck wasn't taking a chance, bolting away from her. A soft sigh escaped her vocals before she shook her thick pelt, dislodging the snowflakes she was collecting on her. Stilling, she then heard another twig snap, though she didn't let her hopes rise, it was probably another forest dweller. Her icy blue hues shifted, suddenly coming upon the form of a large brute, catching her off guard. She kept her deamenor calm, though her heart started to race in excitement. Her banner was raised midway, her body stance cautious less the new wolf was aggressive.
