Like her namesake, Meg is a theif.
She was never any good at hunting, so she learned to steal her food from other. But for all her thieving nature, Meg is actually a very friendly and gentle wolf. She enjoys meeting new people, so long as she does not have to stay with them long, for she is quickly bored and thrives on constant change. A pacifist, she hates fighting and bloodshed, and seeks to avoid it whenever possible. Her main method of battle is running away, however, she often tries to intervene and make peace when there is a spat. She is very inexperienced and lacks the nerve to be a fighter, but she is well-built for it.
She talks a little strangely, mumbling sometimes, and on occasion lapses into an inexplicable Canadian accent.

Magpie's pack thought very highly of birds, and it was a tradition that the eldest pup in the alpha's litter was named after a bird.

Magpie, though, was not the eldest (in fact she was third in the litter) but her markings so distinctly resembled those of a magpie that it was given out that she was the eldest, and hence given the name of a bird.
The only ones who knew that her sister, Qualm, was in fact the oldest of the four pups, were her parents, and of course the pups themselves. The younger siblings, were unconcerned with this small injustice, as they wouldn't have gotten the name anyway, however, Qualm deeply resented Magpie for stealing her name.

One day, after the four siblings were full-grown, and their parents dead, Qualm rallied her two brothers against Magpie and drove her from the pack. At long last, the eldest sibling gained her bird name: she re-christened herself Quail. Magpie was thereafter known to the pack as Meg, and this nickname followed her though her life as a renegrade. To this day she is uncertain whether she is Magpie or just Meg.
She enjoys her life as a renegrade, especially the solitude. Since she was never a very good hunter, Meg used her intellect and coloration to take up theivery, a qauilty often associated with the bird who is her namesake, and eventually became quite good at it.
